Hey there,
I trust you had a rejuvenating extended weekend recently and managed to indulge in some much-needed relaxation. As alluded to in our last edition, we harboured intentions of dining at an Italian establishment, but the scorching heat deterred our outdoor dining plans, prompting us to defer this experience to a future occasion. The subsequent day, our enthusiasm was piqued by a cafe in Alexandria we've longed to visit. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we found the last alfresco table occupied, and with the new patrons just settling in, we opted not to wait. Our journey then led us to a nearby mall, delightfully discovering it welcomed furry companions!

Our Experience
Pet Protocols
Arriving at The Cannery Mall circa noon, parking within the mall proved elusive due to full occupancy, attributed to complimentary 1-hour parking. Fortuitously, a 2P parking spot was secured a mere 50 metres from the mall, a minor inconvenience.

The sight of a pet-friendly sign buoyed our spirits, and the mall, teeming with furry friends, offered a cool, air-conditioned refuge from the summer's fervour or unexpected showers.
Poodle Asking for Food
A reconnaissance of the mall's dining options led us to settle on Banh Xeo Bar, buoyed by its favourable Google reviews. The mall's ground floor brims with a variety of eateries, offering a cornucopia of choices for indoor dining with your four-legged companion.

To the mall's left, an Aldi and Petbarn await, ideal for post-lunch errands, rendering this destination a comprehensive hub for your culinary and shopping requisites.

Combination Special Bun Bo Hue
I ventured to order the Combination Special Bun Bo Hue, featuring beef brisket, roast pork, and pork nugget, accompanied by spaghetti-like rice noodles - a delightful divergence from the traditional flat rice noodles in Pho. The broth, richly imbued with beef essence, offered a natural flavour devoid of the typical MSG found in other establishments. The generous servings of beef and pork were notably tender, enhancing the dish's appeal.
Noodle Salad with Roast Pork Shoulder
My wife opted for the Noodle Salad with roast pork shoulder, a refreshingly zesty option ideal for those moments of diminished appetite. After just one taste, it's a dish I eagerly anticipate on our return visit. The abundant shallots, while not to everyone's liking, can be omitted upon request.
