Bar Tottiās with Luna: A Dog-Friendly Dining Experience in Sydney's CBD
Hey there,
We trust you've had a splendid week so far and are looking forward to the weekend. In our previous issue, we highlighted Cornersmith, a novel culinary experience for us. This time, we're sharing a beloved spot we've frequented 3-4 times, notable for being one of the few restaurants in the city that warmly welcomes our furry companions.
Let's dive in!
Spot of the Week: Bar Tottiās CBD

Our Experience
Bar Tottiās Shop Front
We initially planned to visit a different restaurant in the CBD but ended up at Fabbrica due to full bookings. This time, we seized an opportunity to visit Bar Tottiās on a weekday. Attempting to book in advance, we landed a less-than-ideal 4:30 pm slot. However, motivated by an expiring AMEX promotion for a $50 cashback, we decided it was worth it.
Bar Tottiās Interior
Upon arrival, the staff greeted us and our dog, Luna, with great enthusiasm. We chose al fresco seating, reminiscent of dining in Paris or Italy.
Bar Tottiās Kitchen Area
The restaurant features an open kitchen, allowing patrons to witness the culinary magic firsthand. Despite our early arrival, the place was already bustling - a testament to its popularity.
Menu Highlights

Bar Tottiās Partial Food Menu
Bar Tottiās offers an extensive menu akin to tapas style, catering to diverse tastes. The drink selection is even more impressive, spanning over ten pages.

Luna Having a Seat
Luna, seated like royalty, enjoyed the bustling city ambiance.
Our First Round
We started with the renowned wood-fired bread, accompanied by four antipasti dishes and a bottle of Palloi Shiraz. The food, arguably better paired with white wine, was still a delight with our choice of red.
Burrata
Pickled Octopus
Our favorites included the Burrata cheese, a perfect appetizer paired with the bread, and the Pickled Octopus, which offered a unique blend of chewy and soft textures with a zesty flavor.
Zucchini, Mint, Lemon
Kingfish Crudo
Reginette Spanner Crab, Tomato, Chilli Pangrattato
The Zucchini, Mint, Lemon, and Kingfish Crudo added a fresh, citrusy touch to our meal, while the Reginette Spanner Crab pasta was flavorful and textured, though we preferred Fabbrica's pasta.
300g Pork Schnitzel
Baked Eggplant, Chilli, Pangrattato
The 300g Pork Schnitzel and Baked Eggplant were stellar, though we admittedly overestimated our appetites, leading to a significant takeaway.
Doggy Amenities
The staff provided Luna with her own water bowl, showcasing their exceptional doggie-friendly service.
