🐾 Sunday Lunch at Fabbrica Pasta Shop CBD
Join us as we revisit one of our favourite spot, Fabbrica, and discover why Luna can't get enough of it! Dive into pasta delights, refreshing drinks, and a memorable afternoon in the heart of CBD.
Hey there,
Did you enjoy our last feature on Valentinas? This week, we're shifting gears from cafes to give you a peek into one of our beloved eateries. It's been our go-to spot for multiple visits, and Luna simply adores it! Plus, its shaded setting means even rain won’t dampen your dining experience.
Here’s our latest visit:
Spot of the Week: Fabbrica Pasta Shop CBD

Vibe: Intimate and cozy
Our Experience
Fabbrica interior
Initially, we aimed for a different restaurant, but to our surprise, it was packed with customers. More on that next week! So, our fallback? Fabbrica. We walked in around 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday and, to our luck, found a seat, even without a reservation. But a piece of advice: booking ahead is a smart move considering the limited seating capacity, especially if dinner is on your mind.
Luna at Fabbrica
On entering, Luna, our overjoyed poodle, became an instant attraction. The accommodating staff led us to a quiet corner, ideal for Luna to sprawl and relax. In the shaded outdoors, you'll find tall tables and chairs, perfect for small groups, while inside there's a singular, large communal table. Luna basked in the attention, especially from one staff member, leading to a prolonged hand-licking episode! And, if you're searching for the restroom, head to the back past the kitchen - a culinary spectacle awaits en route.

Menu Highlights

While we've dined here before, our initial visit had us Googling to decode pasta types like Conchiglie and Casarecce. We're confident you'd fare better!
Fabbrica drinks menu
On this sunny Sunday afternoon, my wife went for the Heaps Yuzu Shandy, expecting a Yuzu punch. However, it felt closer to a non-alcoholic beer. I chose Yulli’s Mediterranean Lager and was met with a refreshing, fruity treat.
Sourdough with cultured butter
Sourdough with Cultured Butter: The bread, reminiscent of any quality sourdough, was elevated by the butter's subtle saltiness. My wife, a bread lover, couldn't resist a second slice!
Zucchini flower
Zucchini Flower: A crisp exterior and juicy interior, with cheese melting within – definitely a highlight.
Mixed leaf
Casarecce
Casarecce: This pasta, with its pesto sauce, is masterfully balanced and savoury with the tanginess of goat's curd.
Mafaldine
Malfadine: Rich tomato sauce complemented with a sprinkle of chili flakes, and the noodle's texture paired with cheese slices was simply divine.
Doggy Amenities
Luna was offered a water bowl but missed out on treats. The love from the staff, though, was abundant.
